Henri's tips on Pruning Boxwood Blocks
- Boxwood is a slow grower. The plant is strong enough to be trimmed in early spring. In this way, you ensure that the Buxus retains your desired shape, for example, nice round or square.
- However, it is important to feed the plant well with compost or an organic fertilizer after pruning.
- Never prune a Buxus in full sun or very hot weather. Then the plant can burn and dry out.
- Has the weather been dry for a while and you want to prune? Then water the Boxwood well before you start pruning. This will make it easier for the plant to recover from the pruning.
